So here I am, on the brink of starting school again, getting a new car, and finishing a big project at work. Right now is the breath before the plunge, that point of weightlessness before a fall. I am nervous, but in three weeks everything will have sorted itself out for better or worse. I'm crossing my fingers that everything else goes off without a hitch, since we've had a few unexpected "oh crap" moments lately. Money's tight, family's a mess, but I try to stay aware but away from that stress. This next month will either make me very happy or very worn, maybe both.
My garden is turning into a lovely ramshackle setup. It looks quite beautiful, especially with the pseudo order amidst the chaos of closely packed plants. One of my zucchini plants is the size of a large shrub now, and the zucchini it produces are monstrous, often not being found until 2 feet long. Tomatoes are hanging heavy on the vines, the size of a ten-year-old's fist and still green. This will be a huge crop.
No really big sewing jobs for this SoMN this time around. That's a huge relief, and a big worry off my plate. I do have some plot writing I should do, but I'm just going to let the muse take that one.
My next Chicago trip is tenative on the second weekend of September. We'll see how financing is for whether I'm PCing or NPCing. Rhys is such a challenging character to play. I feel sorry for those who take vows of silence, I'm barely able to go one weekend.

I wrote a little ditty, and I wrote it in my head.
But I can't recall my ditty, so I rhyme this rhyme instead.
